Hi, I’m Isabella Barrón, a graduate student in Bilingual Journalism at the University of Arizona and a proud fronteriza from Nogales, Arizona.
My work focuses on amplifying voices from border communities—stories that are often overlooked or misunderstood in mainstream media. I’m especially interested in how identity, language, and belonging are shaped by life along the U.S.–Mexico border.
Through my work, I hope to amplify voices that are often left out of mainstream narratives and create space for more nuanced, personal storytelling.
Contar nuestras historias también es una forma de resistencia.
